Please return to the CARES funding slide. Can we have a further breakdown of the money that is going towards resources for online education? What are the costs to transition to online learning? What training is our faculty going through? Please provide us with a further breakdown if possible.
Part of the reason clinical fees weren’t reduced due to shift to online learning was because of the added cost of purchasing difference simulation software and additional online supports. In light of the stimulus package, what further purchases are necessary or can that money be used to subsidize some of the clinical fees that students were charged?
I am a part of the CSD program and we paid out of pocket for the simulation software needed for a course. Why wasn’t this covered?
It seems like the utilities alone should have been a huge difference in the operational budget, plus all of the catering and supplies that would normally be used if the buildings were occupied?
We actually had to pay for that last year too. It’s part of the course, like textbook costs.
Thank you for addressing this tuition increase and I am glad you will be having a meeting this week. Since the tuition increase goes against what we were told would be a potential increase when we agreed to attend this program it seems unfair. Additionally, we were not emailed about the increase or notified so it would be very beneficial to have more transparency going forward. Students are already struggling during this health and financial crisis and this is an extra burden for many people. I appreciate you reexamining this.
Is the plan right now to have fall classes online and not in person?
Does this mean that Fall online learning will be asynchronous?
I'm confused by that statement - that classes will be online but skills will be in person?
How will scheduling work for that? We all commute to some extent to campus and I'm concerned about how that would work
Is that true for every program?
