Great point about body language, Sheila. This is the same pivoting to online learning with students. It’s a challenge. Also access to broadband internet access has been identified as some public health experts as another social determinant of health since it can limit educational access and health access and I’m sure much more.

In the aphasia center this year, we also found even better attendance via telepractice than in person- especiallu for stroke patients, having acces to TP made their lives easier not having to find transporttion, etc.

Yes, thank you Marjorie

01:22:39
we heard that attendance and catchment has been up in many practices

01:23:34
Many of you touched on this idea of meeting patients where they are, both physically in their space but also in terms of adjusting your care plan. Is this something that you as clinicians may focus on more or differently as you move back to face to face environments?

01:24:57
Yes, Emily - I've talked about mandated reporting a lot recently and how difficult those decisions can be when invited into homes and having to remove our own biases and consider other peoples environments, family dynamics, etc. It is a challenge!

01:25:43
It seems like an ethical conflict or more guidelines are needed.

01:26:17
Thank you!

01:34:21
Just want to thank all of you for calling attention to the benefits of tele practice, especially in these challenging times
